Well last month as i mentioned earlier too has been specifically great for me. Good learning experiences. Some just experiences. But i must admit LOADS of firsts. As in, things that I did for the first time.(No I do not think that you didn’t get it. My satisfaction. Happy?)
Ok, this one is always going to be a good story to narrate. “Peeing in a Police Station”. Yup!!! had to.. Was controlling it all during the journey…the driver wouldn’t stop…got down…no @#$%*#@ place in Jaipur where a man can peacefully go… desperate now…a police station nearby…go there…relief…and then, the station in-charge at that time catches me and almost starts interrogating!!… asks all sorts of questions..I’M NOT A BOMBER!!!!….finally leaves me…airport..
My first plane ride was awesome! I don’t really know if I can call it a “ride”. It just isn’t pompous enough to express the point I’m trying to make. Everybody told me that it’s the first flight that you’re going to cherish the most. True to it’s core. Just as I stepped out of the waiting lounge, excitement took over and I felt the way a new born avian would feel just about to be pushed from a height by the mother, about to take it’s first flight. It was like… “And I fly”. The magnanimity of the airplane (an airbus!!) could be felt from the outside itself as I climbed into the artificial winged creature. I feel like a “school kid” narrating out the experience to you, but the bliss I felt defying Newton’s gravity, taking off, flying, cannot be well described even by Roget’s. 1 hour and we’re higher than Mt. Everest! 2 hours gone and we land in the financial hub of the country. Elation takes over again!
Ok..that was another first. Mumbai, sweetly termed the city where dreams come alive. Correction: The city where Indian dreams come alive. Beautiful City. Ok, now that i just came back from Delhi, I really can’t agree with Mumbai being the best, but ya, pretty good! The look from above is so beautiful, especially during the night when you can actually see the different pieces of natural land joined by massive bridges over the beautiful sea. I can really go on and on about Mumbai. Nariman Point really lives up to the reputation..perfect place to go on a date with a calm person. Just go there and forget everything else. The cool breeze, calm waters, the glittering Mumbai skyline ahead, loads of Kodak moments there..
The E-Summit!!! I can’t do justice to this in this paragraph for sure. I’ll spoil it in fact. This was surely “the best part of the trip”. Actually speaking, it should be right?? That’s what I’d gone for.
This space is actually too less to write. Enough for me to think and recall all of it. You wanna know? Ask me. [:-)]
Then the walk along Marine drive, admiring the people, keeping the AGC going.. The feel of a metro although not alien to me, being a Delhiite, was very evident from the air. It all felt totally awesome to be there. Then a local taxi ride to the local chat haven, CHOWPATI. Pani Puri, Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri, Ice gola, Kulfi, Pani puri again, Pan (straight to the mouth!). Ya we tried everything!! One of the awesome first again.
The city tour was truly worth cherishing the day after. BSE ( a good pic..
) then the walk along the streets, the big glass of “Ganne ka ras”, the photgrapher inside Raghav(nice pics!), the Gateway of India( it really has an awesome feel to it. Looks awesome and the horizon from it is even better.), turn around and there stand the Taj. The structure is as awesome as the Gateway itself. The streets again..
Siddhi Vinayak Mandir, and the way we saw it. Again an experience that we just had to live. We go there in a rush, and what beautiful darshan we had there.. Really nice place. Kehten hain na…feel aa gayi! Very happy tha. Then ab souvenir toh kuch lena tha na… Come upon a great one. A 3D ganeshji potrait. Love at first sight. (“,)
Then followed the rush. We had taken the bizarre decision to go to the temple when we knew that we just had 50 minutes to board the train back to jaipur. Nihar back at the station. We three just reaching the station 13 minutes before the train has to depart. We run to the cloak room, get our luggage from the cloak room.(The guy there becoming utterly cranky not at all helping the situation) Just take it all and run. And run for the platform. We do catch the train with 3 minutes to spare. Phew. A breath. We were finally bidding adieu to 3 awesome days. Just thanked lord for it all. For the opportunity of such an experience.
“ An Awsperience!!”
The train ride back was tiring but at least not boring. We went over the entire trip again. Spent a lot of time discussing the name and we settled upon “The High” finally. Apt. Good pakoras at a station I don’t remember.
Take backs from the trip? Loads!! And that’s not just the E-Summit, in fact the complete 3 days. Loads of ideas first of all. It just makes me dream again and again of the endless possibilities and opportunities in life. Then, it definitely gave me a ton of exposure. Had fun managing things..It’s impossible to light a fire with a single log and that you’ve got to trust people at the end of the day, because you really can’t do everything.
Some great stuff that happened too…
